The trigger is what starts the routine. For example, Alexa, good evening will lead Alexa to carry out a series of actions that you have requested that it carries out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The good evening trigger for example, might close the curtains, turn on the lights etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These routines save you the trouble of having to repeat each task individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How to Create a Routine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the <strong>Amazon Alexa App<\/strong> on your mobile device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap <strong>More<\/strong> in the bottom navigation bar and select <strong>Routines<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap the <strong>+<\/strong> (plus) icon in the top right corner to start a new routine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap <strong>Add an event<\/strong> to choose your trigger, then tap <strong>Add an action<\/strong> to choose what Alexa should do.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap <strong>Save<\/strong> to store and activate the routine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alexa routines allows you to automate actions in your smart home and combine a number of actions that execute with a single trigger.
