When you the time is up, Alexa sets an alarm sound and you say &#8220;Alexa stop&#8221; and its all over with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However I do a lot of work where I need to assign time to various projects.  Normally I would use the stopwatch on my phone to do that for me, but I decided to try <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/369Ye6Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Alexa (opens in a new tab)\">Alexa<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Alex start stopwatch&#8221;, all good.  However I could never figure out a way to stop the stopwatch so I went back to using my phone.  If I asked Alexa to stop the stopwatch,  Alexa just told me how long the stopwatch had been running for.  So infuriating.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However thanks to the guys at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifewire.com\">Livewire<\/a>.  I know have it all sorted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To start the stopwatch, you have three command options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>&#8220;Alexa, start stopwatch.&#8221;<\/li><li>&#8220;Alexa, open stopwatch.&#8221;<\/li><li>&#8220;Alexa, ask stopwatch.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Use any of the above commands to check the stopwatch at any point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To pause the stop watch and then resume it again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>&#8220;Alexa, ask stopwatch to pause.&#8221;   <\/li><li>&#8220;Alexa, ask stopwatch to resume.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the command that I found so elusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li> Alexa, ask the stopwatch to delete. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Alexa will then state the &#8220;Stopwatch ended at, and in my case it was 89 days 1 hour, 13 minutes and 6 seconds&#8221;.
